Ok all you Waco/East Texas peeps. My BFF and I are here! Looking at property for sale, arenas, tack & feed stores, barrel races, places to rope, etc. Where do we need to go? Must see stuff etc. Thanks guys. This is a scouting trip for a future move :)

Where in East Texas?  We are remodeling our other house right now and will have it up for sale in a month or so.  What are you looking for in acreage and price range?  We are in Kaufman County right between Kaufman and Canton.  Let me know if I can help. We have almost 40 acres with awesome horse facilities and soon to be awesome brick home. (2100 sq. feet).  I will be listing it on here as soon as it's done.

I'm not going to be able to move for about a year myself and will have a budget of about $150K so I'm thinking yours will be out of my range. My friend is not really lookig for more than 5 acres :(

No problem.  I wasn't sure what you were looking for.  What part of East Texas are you searching?  I might know some other places around ours.

I am in the Waco area! Lots of barrel races around here.....I can go to a barrel race about every day of the week and drive no more than an hour if I wanted to. Now as far as stuff to do there's really nothing to do in the Waco area!

Not much to do in Waco
But, as another poster said, lots of barrel races. The up side it Waco is only about an hour and a half to Ft Worth and Austin so its pretty easy to find things within that area to do. If you have children, do your research on the schools.

I just moved to Athens about a month ago! Tons of barrel racing close, within an hour multiple times a week. Nice little town the weather has been amazing!!

We are right outside of Tyler (on the Bullard side) and if you PM me, I can send you my cell number for when you get here. A lot of the feed/tack stores etc are going to depend on which area you are moving to around Athens/Tyler. :)
