Subject: Periwinkles (Vinca) Toxic to horses???

I have some periwinkles that I was getting ready to transplant to an area around my round pen. I just looked online and periwinkles are listed as being toxic to horses. Does anyone have periwinkles planted around high-traffic horse areas or have you ever had problems with periwinkles and horses?

I would like to think that my horses won't be eating them anyway but hate to plant something that is "toxic" when having nice horses around. I don't need another "bullet" to dodge.

Thank you.
