Recommendations? I see the regular 2 and 3 ring myler's and then there's the Neil Merrill's
Background: I need to stick with a myler comfort snaffle mouthpiece. It's the only thing this horse rides well in and we've tried everything from chain mouths to mullens, 2 and 3 pieces so on and so forth.
We run in a short shank myler comfort snaffle
(mouth 04 I think
) and inside pens where he is a little more ratey I really like it. I don't have quite enough rate I outside pens and now that I've had his hocks done I'm really wanting for some more rate - horse has a motor on him when he doesn't hurt!
I thought about just trying a longer shank, but I kind of want to try adding the nose pressure instead of just upping the poll and mouth. He goes okay in a hack, I'm actually going to revisit a jim Warner this weekend but last time I didn't feel like I had enough finess with it, but that like have been clouded by hock pain too.
