bigredrascal - 2014-05-20 1:36 PM The Democrats aren't worried about Karl Rove. He's a political hack whose time has passed. Go Hillary!
DITTO!! Hillary and Elizabeth Warren -VP- I would give that team some serious consideration.

I sincerly hope that is sarcasm.....  Why not a Pelosi/Reid ticket?

Points to Ponder:
1. Republicans are pooping their pants thinking about a Hillary run for President.
2. Since she hasn't declared a candidacy yet, speculating about her health is a moot point, demanding she release her medical records now is bizarre, and Sarah Palin's comment about being treated differently is weird since she was already a candidate for the vice presidency.
3. Republicans will never win another national election if the don't cool it on the social issues. The world is changing and if the GOP doesn't want to become an afterthought, they need to get with the program. Social media instantly spreads every stupid comment that politicians say, so every gay slur, racist dog whistle, voter restriction idea, and poor people are taker memes that come out of the fringes are emailed, hash tagged, messaged, Facebooked etc to young and old alike. Like it or not, social media activism is here to stay.
4. I personally find it disturbing that female politicians are held to a different standard, their hair, their clothes, their "mood swings", are all discussed in the press whereas male politicians are given a pass. Is it any wonder that women, who are proven to be better negotiators, choose to pass on political careers rather than go through the gauntlet of a run for office? Sad.
5. You are watching/reading the wrong news if you don't see Dems disagreeing, many times to the detriment of their policies. I have been criticized for not speaking against Democrats, but I am hear to tell you that the Senators who extol the virtues of the Keystone Pipeline to save their own political hides, do not garner any respect from me. Keystone is a for profit foreign oil company that is taking Americans' land against their will with little benefit to us and all the risk, but that is a story for another day.
As for Hillary, You go girl!

I think if the Republicans are "pooping their pants", it's because they are afraid that history may well repeat itself, and we will wind up with another president who has accomplished very little that is meaningful and noteworthy....that she is another "annointed one" like the worthless evil bastard we have in the White House now. Most people agree that Rove's remarks were stupid. My question to you Finney is can you think of any specific similar remarks made by a liberal?
I still haven't seen a single specific criticism of another liberal from you....only some vague reference. It kills you to criticise a fellow liberal, doesn't it? You just can't do it. You say women politicians are held to a different standard.
How so? Personally, I would love to see a woman elected president.....just not Hillary. I prefer someone more along the lines of Maggie Thatcher. I think she was one of the greatest leaders in modern history.
What "voter restriction" idea are you referring to, Finney? Voter ID?
Can you think of any instances where liberals or liberal operatives tried to intimidate voters?
You allude to racism......can you think of any examples of liberal use of racist tactics?

I guess I can hold out hope for Ted Cruz.  If he runs, he'll have Palin on a nonstop cross country marathon generating big crowds and money.  That might get us somewhere...

Until...

the media digs up something against him.

Hillary Clinton.........is that all you liberal guys got?  No competition at all.

I mean did the well run dry, end of the trail, bottom of the barrel, that's all she wrote?  Nobody else qualified, beloved by all.......Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Debbie Wasserman, Anthony Weiner, Michael Bloomberg, Sean Penn, George Clooney.  Whoop, just answered my own question.

yup.... politicians are generally cut from the same morally bankrupt cloth these days. To get to the level of running for president, you've had to scratch so many backs that you are no longer able to stand for something.

Political party, at this point, IMO is somewhat irrelevant as they generally have sold out to so many for so long that.... well... they are representatives of corporations/people sponsoring them. Follow the money...

Also the pandering.... my god, it's become a contest of appealing to the lowest common denominator.

BTW, this is both parties..... just to reiterate that....

ok, end rant

Finney is one who needs to stop worshipping Rachel Maddow and reading The Huff and learn to think for herself instead of repeating liberal talking points about what the Conservatives are worried about. I for one am not worried about Hillary, I think her ineptness in Benghazi and other things while Secretary of State will take care of her for us.

Besides........  Hillary?  Really?  She's the best you Libs have? She was already the President once. While her husband was busy playing hide the cigar.

I don't understand the hoopla over what he said.  He was talking about her health history.  Holy Cow I remember WAY back when all they talked about was Regans health and age.  I believe she will be as old or older than he was when and if she runs.

I also don't understand why any question about her is "OMG, how horrible", no one was leaving the part over the things the Dems said about Palin's issues with her youngest son. . .

Yes...I do think most if not all politiions are crooked idiots, but they are what we have.  I WISH I could say and mean it, that I don't vote a party line....I vote for the person.  BUT there is no way we can really know every one that runs for office.  The Party they choose to affiliate themselves with says a lot about their personal beliefs.  Therefore, that is where we have to start.  I could and would vote for a person that was not a Republican if their views lined up with mine.....but why would they if they were democrats?  Pro Life?  Pro 2nd Ammendment?  the list goes on.  It is a starting point.

Personally I think Hillary was hiding from Bengazi, not hiding a head injury.  But if there WAS a head injury, and she was 30 days in recovery why is it wrong to question it?

Oh heavens. I hope not. Even though the Libs are afraid of Jeb Bush, I fear that the GOP will jump on that bandwagon. Yikes!

RidenFly - 2014-05-19 4:53 PM ** Me on my high horse**

Listen up.  We will NEVER beat the Dems at the mud slinging because they have CONTROL of the media and Hollywood.

Beat them fair and square with topics that matter or GO HOME.

Better yet,  TEA needs its own political party...

Okay now I will run from the tomatoes being thrown at me by Scott and others that HATE the third party rants...

Yeah, I know Scott...but have I mentioned how SICK I am of the Repukelicans?

I just said I am no longer a Republican, Riden.  My problem has been that I have to accept the GOP candidate because there is no such thing as a "conservative Democrat" in this day and age.  There used to be a number of them, but they are all extinct.  "Conservative Democrat" when it comes to the NATIONAL political scene is an oxymoron.  There aren't any.  Consequently, while I no longer call myself a Republican, I have to vote for the lesser of two evils every 2 years.  People like me almost all feel the same way, except for those 3.5 million Republicans who refused to vote in the last election because their candidate wasn't nominated.  They all basically threw their lollipops in the dirt and stayed home.....so now we are stuck with people like Obozo.  I didn't like McCain as a POTUS candidate either but I voted for him because I felt he was a far better choice than Obozo....even though Palin was his running mate.  History tells us that third party candidates only spoil the election of one party or the other.  Nobody has come close to winning a presidential election since TR.  The closest anyone has come was Ross Perot back in '92 when he captured about 20% of the popuar vote.  The vast majority of those Perot votes came out of the George HW Bush column.  We'd better learn that lesson if we ever expect to win.  It's one thing to have  a strict set of core values, and sometimes quite another to be pragmatic.  Right now, a "Tea Party" as a third party will simply render BOTH the Tea Party and the GOP impotent and hand over any election to the Democrats.  The only hope we have is the pragmatic solution.  A wise choice on the right candidate can, in theory at least, satisfy all the factions within the GOP.  I hope the people who stayed home last time are tasting the bitter rewards of their tantrum, because they are getting what they asked for.

...anyway... that should be reTHUGlican.... can't you spell??
