Location: southeast Texas | Have you done any research on termite treatment? If you have termites, get a profesional involved. If not, you can get bait stations, apply, and moniter every month. (do your research on the most effective bait station) I wouldn't count on the "termite" solutions sold in the big box stores to be what you want.
I had to have a double "ring" fence around my house. The chemicals involved are not available to the general public. A ring fence is digging a trench around my house (on piers) to a prescribed depth. Termites don't go down but so far. Chemical applied in that trench. I am not versed on what to do about a slab application.

Location: The end of the Earth, SE AR | When you sell a house in areas of the country that have termites and if you are getting a loan for said house, you will get a termite inspection. If the house has a contract with a professional termite company, the inspection is really cheap. If the house doesn't have a contract that inspects and treats for termites annually, then the inspection is super expensive.
My suggestion is bite the bullet and use a professional company. |

There are numerous DIY solutions for treating termites. Simply utilize google. On the other hand, these termites uses enzymes in its saliva to break down the cellulose material in dry wood. These can be major problem and can be eradicated by DIY or by experts. Yet I would still suggest you to search for any positive pest control solution providers which can get the work done more professionally. |
