Anyone have one? Tried one? How is the seat size compared to a treed saddle or a regular treeless?

Some people love them and some people hate them...I'm a hater. Piece of junk. It fit the same as my treed saddle. Didn't ride in it as it had a crooked tree. I sat in it and took it off and sent it back.

I sat in one at the local feed store.  It felt just like a treed saddle.  I'm not sure what it's like to ride in.

Contact Nateracer on here. She has one and she loves it. She's been riding in it for a year I think maybe 2. I'm not sure. She will tell you the good, the bad and the ugly about it.

Mine was also crooked. Waited for a new one for 4 months before just getting my money back because they were tired of dealing with me.

It Was very comfy but the leather looks cheap compared to my crown c. I also didn't like the rigging placement. It does look like a treed saddle though. It feels very cushy but I found that hard to get out of, though I'm not a pockets rider.

Terrible customer service. I won't ever buy another circle y after that experience.

ETA: I thought it had nice leather when I first got it, until I got a martin. The Martin's had higher quality leather.

I do love mine.  I also have a straight one. LOL

It is very comfortable and it allows me to really get up and ride. It rides just like a treed saddle, only WAY more comfy!  It also holds me in when things get dicey.  It fits my high withered wide gelding very well, with a 1 inch thick 5 star.    It did break in just a little bit after riding it all summer, but they are supposed to do that.

I do NOT like it on my gelding that has lower withers and is more round.  It just doesn't fit him right.  You can feel it flexing at the trot on him, no matter what pad you use.  If this saddle had a tree, you'd say it has more rock.  IDK if you can say that with a treeless.  If I had bought it for him, I would have sold it already.

Thanks for the replies.  This doesn't really help me pick a side of the fence tho lol.  The quality part certainly scares me.  I'm glad you like yours on your one horse Nateracer.
I used to ride in a BM treeless but for the past 7 yrs I've been in a Triple Creek.  I love my Triple Creek but it has started making my mare sore, maybe her back has changed due to age?  I really don't want to play the saddle fit game and never had problems with the treeless making her sore. But I've recent tried the regular treeless and just don't like it, I don't like how the legs move in it.  So thats why I'm asking about the JBN.  So are the seat sizes like a treed saddle? I have a 14.5 Triple Creek and its perfect.  But I feel a bit snug in a 14.5 treeless.

I ride a 15 treed and a 15.5 in the JBN.  I think they said that if you ride a 1/2 size to go up to the next one.  So a 14.5 treed would be a 15.5 treeless, because a 14.5 JBN would be equivalent to a 14 treed and would be smaller.

I've never ridden in a BM, but I know people who have and they say they are quite different than the JBN.

Edit to add, the leg movement on the JBN is excellent.

I had one … fit my horse nice but hurt my back. Quality left something to be desired IMHO. I have a Sibley now … bought it used and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Way better than the JBN … more secure, better quality and all around a better saddle. It's light weight, you can get it the way you want it. You can adjust the stirrups to hang the way you want them to.

ETA: I had a Tammy … but I lost a lot of weight and it was too big. My horse liked it, but I felt like I couldn't get out of the seat when trying to get up out of the turns. I felt like I was trying to climb out of a recliner . which is why I wanted to try the JBN. I bought the JBN and ended up taking a loss on it after about 20 rides.

I ultimately tried the sibley at the urging of a friend. She was right .. my saddle stayed in the middle of my horse, i didn't have to cut him in half to tighten the since. I stay right in the middle of my saddle with the Sibley and I don't get left behind, I don't get thrown forward. One of the things I like about the function of the Sibley is the saddle horn is tilted a little forward so I can get up and over my horse a little to hustle without getting caught on the saddle horn. I'm 5'6" and weigh 135 pounds. I got a 14.5 because I have long legs. I could probably go down 1/2 a size, but things are working right now, so I'm satisfied.

Used sibleys are hard to find. I found an ad on CL for one in my area. I've contemplating buying it (even though I already have one) because they are hard to find used.

Good luck with your search.

I noticed it looks like there is dropped rigging on the Sibley? Do you need an xtra long saddle pad for that? I had the same problem with the BM treeless I used to ride in, I couldn't get out of it! My first time racing in my Triple Creek, we ran faster and finally won $ and continued to win lol. Can you feel your horse in the Sibley? Does it adjust to the horse? I read alittle bit about it on the Panther Canyon Saddlery page.

I have a JNB and love it ....fits my horse and me.  I like the whole saddle... I usually ride a 15 but had to go up 1/2" with the JNB.   Ive had mine 2 years and it's holding up well and haven't had any problems with quality of leather.   I've had problems with other brand name /high $$$$$ saddles just like the cheap one.  So sometimes you just get a lemon.
