My little guy damaged his mouth on something in his pen the other day, it's healing very nicely and he isn't in pain but I don't feel comfortable putting a bit back in there yet.

He's fairly green, what's a good hack for somebody like him in the meantime (I've got a few of my own and can borrow while he's healing). He's working really well in a smooth snaffle bit with a little short shank and is soft and broke loose moves hips/shoulders, stop, back up, start of a spin, both leads, up in the bridle, etc.

I don't want to stiffen him up or lose any of his softness.
