Expert Posts: 1432 Location: Never in one place long	We are looking at downsizing our truck/trailer for a while and want to just get a small 2horse gooseneck trailer to haul with either a Ford or Chevy 1500 or 2500.... we can't decide what to do.... want a 2011 or newer..... what gets better mileage and what do you or don't you like about them???? Does anyone have the Ford Ecoboost??? do you like it?????

Midget Lover Location: Kentucky	My Dad test drove a F150 Ecoboost. It was really nice, and had a lot more power than I was expecting. Ford is putting the Ecoboost in a lot of their vehicles and it has been successful. I have never driven a Chevy, so I don't know. I would test drive both and see which one you like better.

We have test driven both, I like the Ford better but my main concern is the fuel mileage.... we baby our vehicles and get about 17mph with our diesel so I want to get even better than that with a new smaller truck....not sure if it's worth it to pay the extra for the ecoboost or if they make a difference.

Not 100% sure on fuel mileage, as it wasnt mine till later on and then it got traded for a chevy 2500 ;) was a very nice truck though!! Drove like a car. Had no issues pulling my 2 horse bp down to tn from ny in the middle of winter. The 2500 i traded for got pretty cruddy fuel mileage pulling the 2 horse bp otherwise (about 9) Around town and highway was 13-15 mpg. That was with a chip on it and it was lifted with exhaust done.

Expert Posts: 2457	Chevy products all the way. I love my 1500 v8 5.3L. I have no experience with the Ford Ecoboost. Find some truck forums and google. Good Luck!
