Not trying to break any rules OR discuss specifics but I do have a question. I'm thinking of placing an ad to sell 2 I'd my horses but I really want to see if someone out there is interested in doing some trading
(I need a large pony or small horse for my 11 yr old step daughter, we just got custody of, to learn to ride on
). Has anyone had any luck running and ad and working out trades? Or is it better just to sell out right and then go look for what I want?

There are options on sellers ad if you are open to trades. You must be specific in your ad, if you are not willing to trade most people write "no trades"
Just state exactly what you're lookin for and make sure it's of equal value.

just make sure you do a vet check on any horses you are looking at trading.....I was SOL on a deal because I failed to have a vet check done

Yes, we did for an ad posted on here last year. It worked out pretty well. We did not vet check. The horse was in Utah, we are in Montana.....we met 1/2 way. We had exchanged videos and anwered questions on the phone before decided to make the trade.
