Location: the fantasy txdad married | I've been all over and can't find enough reviews to satisfy my curiosity. Specifically, I'm looking for anyone with a review, good or otherwise on the Lakota Big Horn 18 LQ Grande Edition B8X18. Exact trailer is a 4 horse, double slide with fireplace. Ive seen enough reviews of the Lakota Chargers and the Luxe but, I want some on the Big Horns. And if anyone knows, who makes these trailers? As in, did another manufacture start them or someone who worked for another manufacture go out on their own? They seem pretty new to me and I've been out of the loop so, haven't seen one in person yet. I know the bumper pull LQs have been around a long time...is this entirely the same company? please and thank you in advance.
and yes, I've been to horsetrailerworld already :) |

Location: NW MT | I *think* they started as a new company. They sit right along the Indiana Tollroad & am planning to go visit the factory next time I am "back home". I have heard alot of good reviews on them overall, but want to go see in person. And yes, same company as one that makes the BP ones. |

I didn't realize they were made in the travel trailer capitol of the world. |

Location: Right Where I'm Meant To Be :) | We have a Lakota big horn 4h with 17' short wall and 12 ft slide. Had it almost a year and love it. Had a platinum before and we like this one although I think we had a lemon on our previous trailer. Would buy another big horn in a heartbeat. |

| Haven't climbed in an out of a ton, but a friend just bought a new one and WOW! it is one gorgeous trailer. She said it pulls great too, I can't recall what brand she traded in on it. |

this is good to hear :)
Do you use it often? For long periods? We are needing something that will hold up to us staying in for extended periods (1-3 months). |

Location: Right Where I'm Meant To Be :) | The longest we have been in it is 4-5 days at a time! Have used it in the cooler weather when furnace and/or heat strip is on at night and it does great. Insulated horse area keeps them cool as well. Check out shinin b trailers in ky. Tommy will work with you and I believe will ship as well. We've bought 3 trailers from him and can't say enough good. As about as honest as they come. We are from pa and travel there to buy. Good luck in your search. Alot of good trailers out there just don't settle. And get what you want. |

Location: Kansas | I have had a Lakota Big Horn (3 hrse.) with the couch & dinette, on the slide, for 3 years. I love how this trailer pulls and lives. As with any trailer I suggest heated holding tanks, if you are doing any colder weather hauling. It has been a very comfortable trailer. I would suggest that you look into the double stair access, to the sleeping area. This is due to air circulation. I only have one access stair and the AC works great, but the circulation is limited. Propane forced air furnace works great, but again with limited circulation, in the nose. I agree with Shinin B Trailers / Tommy Bradbury being very easy to deal with and straight shooter, on information. I've had only one warranty issue and it was handled prompt and satisfactory. Everyone was great. I asked some specific questions about in & outside the trailer pre-purchase. My questions were answered and to date I have to say I love my trailer. Spent the first three years hauling to dog agility events, with vendor booth stock / set up, in the horse compartment. Now I am actually putting horses in it and they seem very comfortable hauling. |

Thanks :) This is the inside so, it has the double entry to the goose.

Location: Utah | I don't have the exact trailer you are looking at, but I have had a Lakota LQ since 09. At first the company was great with any issues that I had and I really love the way the trailer pulls..... but, I have a major issue with my trailer and warranty right now and they WON'T stand behind their warranty. I was told "too bad". I'm incredibly disappointed by this. My trailer has been maintained and taken care of. I used to think I would buy another in a heart beat, but after this I'm pretty sure I wouldn't. |

Was going to say I LOVE your trailer!!! I was impressed with it. Loved the wide wide doors and windows for the horses, the interior space was nice. It is built in the rv capital area of Indiana and you can tell by the interior, I wish I could get our new RV done the way the Lakotas look on the inside. |

Location: Riding Crackhead. | My friends just bought one early spring. I don't know exactly what it is but its taller than most trailers I've seen and I know it has a slide and a fireplace. So far they love it. They are using it to haul a bunch of little boys to Jr High rodeos. They bought it in TX and pulled it back to SD. |

Do you mind sharing what the issue is?

| I have a Lakota Bighorn, 2014 4 horse with 15' lq, 12' slide. We absolutely LOVE our trailer (have had it a year and have traveled a lot of miles with it). The ONLY negative thing that has happened is that the latch to the partition in the horse part broke on a trip- twice (they are made of plastic, but as we looked at others, so are many of them). When the first broke, they immediately sent a replacement. The dealer is calling today on another. Other than that, they are beautiful. To do it all over again, I'd get the exact same and it's not very often I feel that way lol |
