Location: In Ky following Barrel Races & Walker hounds. | Hello everyone! Haven't been here much lately... I went back to work at the track for a man who is owner/trainer of 2 horses, he only has one at Ellis park at the moment, but his 3yr old will be coming in soon... I am a groom/finder of everything he sits down and forgets where he put it LOL. I really enjoy working for him, hes a very easy person to work for. The gelding he has isnt a barn burner but he raised him from a foal as an orphan, so he is pretty attached to him.
I am still doing my photography some, with us only having 1 horse in right now I have had a lot more time to play with my camera at the track. I will post pics at the bottom of the page :).
My husband is still having a hard time after losing his dad a month ago.. He tries to stay strong but when he calls his mom and she cries it kills him inside. We are naming a race after him at Ellis Park in a few weeks, he still holds the track record for 6 furlongs, so we are picking out a 6 furlong race to dedicate to him with a blanket presentation for the winner.
We inherited his fathers house and are working on remodeling.... And I am ready to pull my hair out already... They tore out the bathroom floor today and found out that apparently whoever lived in the house before they bought it had just slapped new plywood on the old plywood when it would start going bad.... They tore up 3 floors before they found the bottom. Whoever did the plumbing was apparently didnt have anything to cut pipes with, so there are some that they are having to redo so they work properly. Its going to be a long process but I know it will be worth it once its done. We have a nice back yard for the dogs. Just needs some TLC. I have been a scrubbing/painting FOOL lately lol.
This is Old Newburgh(aka Fudge) the horse I take care of, being ponied.

Some babies getting a light work together...

Hopefully I will be able to get some more this weekend and have time to post them Hope everyone has been doing well!!! |

Location: Charlestown, IN | So sorry to hear about Dustin's dad. I must've missed that somehow between here and Facebook. I did see where you guys are remodeling but did not put two and two together. It is a pain but will pay off for you guys in the end. Hang in there!!
Love the track pictures. Never been to Ellis but looks like a nice track!! |
