I just got home from an overnight trip. I left about 7:30 last night and just got home (5:30) to find my two year old lab's face is swollen. He's acting pretty normal, but I know he just had trouble sneezing. I'm assuming he got bit or stung by something. Anything I can do to help him??

You can give dogs benadryl.  Check out petplace.com for dosages, or google dosages for dogs.

Our goofball of a g.s. bit a bee and if I hadn't of seen it happen, I wouldn't have known. We gave him benadryl as said above and I took off his collar. Took a couple of hours but the swelling went down. Meanwhile, he rubbed his face almost incessantly on the carpet.

Thanks!!  I gave him 25 mg just to start him off!  I think a wasp or something got him by his nose!

I'm going to say he got stung by a bee as well.  Our old dog did this once...and half his upper lip got swollen and droopy. He recovered fine, however, and quickly. If concerned, do as the other person says and give him some benadryl...you would be surprised how many human medications work on dogs. Just don't be surprised of he acts loopy or sleepy for a little while. :

I think it wore off quickly and he's feeling good enough to be acting like his normal loopyself! Lol
