I shared this on Twitter and Facebook but I know there are those of you who aren't on there or we aren't friends in those worlds-lol. BUT, I know a lot of you know the story of Grasshopper and our accident or have heard about it.  Someone told me I should write the story down.  After almost two years I finally did.  I have forgotten some details I know and it isn't terribly long but I wrote it out anyways.  So if you are interested, here is his story:

http://stacywhitener.blogspot.com/2014/06/grasshoppers-story.html

eta: I have the pictures too of his recovery.  When I get time I am going to add those too.

Crying!  Great story.  I lost my once in a lifetime horse in October and it's been such a tough road.  So good to know that you were able to save your baby!

I remember following this story from the day it happened. What an incredible recovery, what incredible dedication to your sweet boy. I'm very happy for both (all) of you!

See, you made us cry on here too!!! ;-)
Money may have been what was needed to save him but more importantly it was love that healed him.
