My gelding has started turning on his front end and is running slightly past barrels. He has been checked out by my vet tomake sure it's not a physical problem. What exercises and tips do y'all have?

Doesn't mean he is still not sore. He can x-ray clean and flex sound and still be sore enough for it to show during performance. Horses don't just quit/change how they work for no reason. I would be he is sore somewhere.

OP is there a video you can show us?
May be sore; may not be. But x-rays don't show soft tissue inflammation. They only show bone.

After a good lameness exam to make sure that he is sound, you can roll back away from the barrel, and then make sure you use your outsid foot and inside rein to really push his hip up under him and keep his shoulder up. This should only be done at a walk though. When he is doing it perfectly I would trot first and then slow lope and reinforce the shoulders up and listening to you. hope that makes since.

He had a full lameness exam done. All good. It's something that has developed over time. It's a bad habit and I am looking to work him out of it. Thinking it may be from me switching bits possibly?
