Location: Texas | I am looking for feedback on Stoney, Shiloh or wider tree gullets. I have always ridden Coats saddles but would like to have another option in the tack room. I have two mares that are very wide backed and need a larger gullet. Any help or opinions are aprreciated. |

Location: The Oklahoma plains. | All of the ones you mentioned use different trees. Im sure some have their wide tree- but overall, I think most use a spec tree unless ordered otherwise. So hopefully someone will answer that has one of these in wide.
I highly recommend Caldwell- I tried 20 trees that people claimed were wide when I had a huge mare- and by far it was the best overall fit I had ever seen. |

Location: CA | I had a custom ordered wide shiloh and I sold it to buy a Crown C to fit my wide horses. The Shiloh just wasnt working. |

Location: TX | Larry has a new tree that fit a wider and flat backed horse, I was using a Caldwell Maxxed out on him and had also had a Stoney made for him. The saddle Larry made for him fits great..no sliding back. |

He wears a 7 or 7.5 in a crown c so not overly huge. The saddle seemed to narrow over his back. I do love the Jerri Mann tree Shiloh has. |

Location: Desert Land | I have no had luck with ANY of the Shiloh trees fitting ANY horse, LOL.
I did have a custom made Stoney with his widest tree - was the equivalent to a Caldwell Ultra Rocket. It fit for the horse I had it made for. When I sold him, I sold the saddle.
I would also recomend trying a Caldwell. |

I bought a Shiloh Jerri Mann tree for my daughter and tried it on my wide big shouldered gelding for the fun of it. Aside from laughing at stuffing my butt in a 12" saddle, it was too tight on him. It fits our other horses nicely tho. |

Only Shiloh I currently own is a 12" Shiloh Jerri Mann. I do believe it is the widest or I should say most bar flare Shiloh I know of. I had wanted to try Sharin Halls but she ended up going to Triple Creek with her saddle. The saddle on my horse in my avatar pic is a Jerri Mann, just wish I could find a 15.
