	My mom and I are taking my sis in about 10 days. She is 14 and has cerebral palsy. She is not affected mentally but physically. She is able to walk but for short trips like, during a school day to her classes and around the store. For Disney there was never any questions we'd have to use her wheelchair to get around. My question is, i haven't really reserved any Fastpass things b/c i'm assuming there is handicap accessible areas for things like parades and night shows. I know we wil have to wait in different lines for rides but didn't know if someone with personal experience might be able to give some insight. I've got the trip all planned out per the Unofficial Guide to Disney and Touring plans. It's just the technical stuff i'm unsure about. Thanks!

Expert Posts: 2457	Exciting! We took my Dad in February and he uses an electric wheel chair to get around due to his Parkinson's. I think my nieces and nephews had more fun line jumping with Grandpa than anything else there! Fast Pass - Plan your day ahead and you can snag them first thing. You take your ticket to the lil machines, swipe your ticket, and the machine gives you a time to come back to use the Fast Pass. Make sure and don't loose the Fast Pass ticket that gets spit out ... They are awesome!! You get to line jump as a whole party with the person in the wheel chair. Often, you have to go up the exit ramps so look for the wheel chair signs or just ask someone to point you in the correct direction. Also, look into buying a multi-day pass that lets you in multiple days, with these you often get to come early to the park and experience NO LINES :) Good Luck and Have fun!!! We sure did!

Accident Prone Posts: 22277 Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR	My husband's step-dad was in a wheel chair recovering from a bad horse accident when they went to Disney. He said getting to skip the lines was GREAT since they let the whole group go together. Spoiled him forever, I think.

Independent Cuss Posts: 3978 Location: Dearing, GA	We were in Disney one year, and I broke my foot at the hotel pool. I had to use a wheelchair, and the whole park was very accomodating. We used Fast Passes as normal, and were usually escorted to the front of the line for nearly every ride. Don't stress, it will still be fun for her and you guys. You can go ahead and reserve Fast Passes for whatever you'd like- I recommend DEFINITELY getting one for the Toy Story ride at Hollywood Studios, since I was there in May at the park's "non busy" time of year, and there was a 70+ minute wait.
