Location: south GA | I have been looking for a couple weeks now for ideas for saddle club year end awards. Our club does awards for halter, western pleasure, gaited, english, and speed events. I have an idea of what our speed event participants would like (but would take suggestions there also), but just drawing a blank on all the others. We do buckles for first, but I have 5 other places to pick awards for and must be conscious of a budget. Things that will be useful are what I'm aiming for, but I'm drawing blanks. Any suggestions? |

| Custom tack does an awesome job, have lots to choose from and are very good to work with. Been ordering from them for about 5 years, and they have quality tack. |

Location: Alabama | Second Custom Tack. They are very reasonable & great to work with. We offer several prizes at each level & let our winners pick. We send a spread sheet to CT & they handle everything.

You can e-mail & they will e-mail you a copy of the awards catalog with prices.

Location: mi | For your "show" people embroidered sheets are always a big hit as they show the award and are usable. Kind of a pain cuz you do need to contact people for sizes if you want to be nice other wise lots of clubs just give out the standard 80". Paul Taylors has great prices on their sheets and they are good quality and fit nice.
We have also done work tack. Plain head stalls and reins and those were a big hit too. Just do a decent quality again Paul Taylors has some nice stuff for decent prices.
The stirrups that KO does that you can have the award lasered on are nice too and people have really enjoyed those. They can at least put them on your work saddle. Although they are not inexpensive.
Also hat cans are good. Schneiders has good prices on those put into awards. Schneiders (sstack.com) also has an awards page that would give you some ideas.
A BIG hit last year was the nice fold up aluminum chairs with the tables on the sides. I got those on amazon and had my local embroidery place do them but sstack has those also.

Location: south GA | Thank you!! Keep the suggestions coming, if you have anymore. I am planning on presenting ideas soon to our board soon. For the past couple of years the same items have been given for awards so I would love to change it up as much as possible this year. |

| At the National Jr. Santa Gertrudis show one year the favorite award was a soft shell camo colored cooler. It was given as a 5th place I think and kids were trying to trade higher placing awards for them, lol. My kids still use the boot bags they won, too, and those things are 10 years old. |
