Location: NC | Does anyone have a truck with a slide in camper in the bed and pull their horse trailer?
Was talking with my barn owners about how we'd like to eventually get a bigger trailer with a small lq so we could travel to some shows. I have a silverado 3500 so not too worried about pulling one. They were saying how some people get the slide in campers and still pull trailer. Currently have an aluminum 2 horse bumper pull and bring both horses when we go places. We were worried about how heavy that would be too. |

Location: the fantasy txdad married | Get a Capri. They come in as stripped down as you want to pretty fancy and they weigh less than the big high dollar ones with slides and such. They are not huge but, if there are only two of you it shouldn't be an issue. |

Location: NC | Thank you!! i just looked at them and they seem nice. Only other thing is would have to be 2 beds or like a main bed and a table that turned into a bed. Its my mother and i who would be traveling. And I love her and all but i dont want to share bed ;) |

Location: My own little world! | i have an 8 and 1/2 foot camper. I pull my 3 horse with a GMC 1 ton. I really have no trouble. I slow down for the curvy, steep parts and drive slower than my friend with a small living quarters.
I have a shower, toliet, queen bed and the table folds down into a bed.
It works for me and it's paid for.
**Make sure to measure the camper with the trailer to make sure your trailer tongue is long enough. You may only be able to fit a 8 foot camper on, which makes it hard to find one with a full shower/toliet.

Thank you!!! Do you feel like its too heavy for your truck? Did you add anything to your truck like airbags? My trucks a 1 ton as well with an 8 ft bed.
I will measure the tongue on my trailer as well.
I sorta went looking around online and craigslist last night, not to many around. The one local rv place has an 11'3 one for sale which is way too long . |
