I just was curious as I am in the middle of seasoning a coming 5 year old keeping her fut. eligible but she needs so much hauling right now in different arenas. I was just wondering how far you would drive knowing its just exhibition?

I've done 70 a few times, but only because it was the only time I could fit hauling into my schedule during the weeknight.  Not prepping a futurity horse or seasoning anything, just trying to get with a horse I had just bought and no where else to work the pattern and have that same type of environment.

My gelding was really quiet, nothing much bothered him, one indoor pen was just like another so for him I didn't feel it necessary to haul to a lot of different pens so I was able to stay closer to home, usually out big hauls other than a clinic was about 45 minutes if I wanted to get him into a bigger outdoor pen. My mare I should have given to someone to pass around and just let everyone take turns hauling her to every stinking place available in the western US of A....

When I was trying to get my mare ready last year I would drive between 2-3 hours for exhibitions, a lot of it in traffic on week nights. The more you haul them and get them used to the sights the more it pays off in the long run, especially if you really want them ready for those early futurities. I kept trying to get some friends to go with me with their colts, but they said "It's too far" or had some other excuse. Then come December 1 they said "Why isn't my horse as ready as yours?" Really? I know my efforts from last year are really paying off this year. My mare is pretty solid for a 4 year old. She is all business once she gets to a race and we don't even do exhibitions before the race. But last year she would get distracted at anything and everything!

I would probably go no more than 2 hours, but where I live there are TONs of arena within a 2 hour radius.

3-4 hours.  About a month ago I took him to a two day race. Hauled with friends, "camped out" for the weekend, and gave him a taste of what its like to be on the road. He did great with the eating, drinking and pooping part....the exhibitions..eh not so good!LOL  By the second day it was much better!!
Most times though we have enough going on in a 60-70 mile radius of my house that I can take him to do time onlies.

The longest I go is about 3.5 hours away so the shortest is 30 minutes.

Wow, some of you really haul a long ways! I stay within an hour of my house for exhibitions only :)
There are also a lot of arenas in my area so I usually have more than one to choose from.

Part of my willingness to go that far is because I strongly dislike exhibitioning my horse in the same pen over and over. Here in ND we already have a travel a fair distance, especially in my neck of the woods, if we want to take part in different associations/jackpots, etc:)

An hour or two. I had a gelding that I was patterning that didn't need exposure, that was fine, but he lost his focus EVERY time we were at a race and just wanted to run. I had to start him so slow that we didn't even have hope of getting money in the 4D, so I would haul him just to do time only until we got past that point.

TOs are up to $5 each around here. That's shut down my desire to exhibition.
