I never know how much to do. My horse is in shape but we've just started riding out in the fields since they're finally mowed. There's a small hill at one end of the field, it stretches a good distance but the hill itself isn't very high up. It probably takes about 15 steps to go from the bottom to the top. It has varying degrees of steepness, some parts it's just slope, one part its more of a climb.

I usually just serpentine the length of it, going up and down, I just don't know how many times I should do it to where it's actually working something and building new muscles.
