Location: Somewhere around here		I'm looking like a pretty nice mare and I went to see it yesterday. She goes really nice and is pretty willing, just a little hot. The owner said though that sometimes she can have breathing problems after she's been going and working cattle for a few miles, just breathing loudly. I'm guess but she didn't do it in the arena and we were working her pretty good. She says she doesn't know exactly what the problem is but it doesn't happen very often. We don't have cattle and wouldn't be working cattle for miles.
What kind of problems do you think that it could be and do you think it would be worth the chance of buying a horse like this?

I would have the horse scoped, it could be failure to clear airway, a flapper problem, inflammatory airway disease, copd, allergies, or bleeder

Honestly I wouldn't buy one with breathing problems, too many potential complications.

Location: n.c.		Agree with cheryl.  Have her scoped.  If she does have a breathing problem, it will get progressively worse as time
goes on.
