I've had issues with my gelding since the time I bought him. Bucking, humping up, just generally overly sensitive if my saddle even moves a hair out of place and as my husband says ruffles 'his feathers'. I've had the chiropractor out twice and really found nothing, his hip was slightly out the first time she was here and pretty much nothing the second. He does seem to have some arthritis in his hocks (or stifles, haven't xrayed him), but seems like there is still another issue. I'd like to try to treat him for ulcers but was hoping for some suggestions on what to use? I went on valley vet and seems like there are just sooo many options, so what really works and is worth the money?

The mushroom matrix ECP really helps with ulcers. It's all natural and many of the top show jumping/dressage horses are on it. I have my stallion on it who was showing symptoms of ulcers. After a few days I saw a significant change and he is back to himself.

Honestly, the only thing that has worked for me (I've spent thousands on other stuff. No, like literally thousands) is Gastrogard, 15-28 days, full tube, in hand with ProBios paste, 10 days, 1/2 tube 2x daily, along with Forco, cut grain intake to less than 6 lbs daily (I just rolled to feeding 1 lb rice bran 2x daily, with 3 lbs alfalfa pellets 2x daily, with 1 lb Ultium 2x daily if needed). Around day 5 of treatment, start SmartGut Ultra and Enshure. Free choice alfalfa or coastal, depending on your horse.

This works.

UlcerCure OTC works and is worth the money. Put him on it for the 30 day treatment period. Should notice a difference in a few weeks. See the banner on the top of this website as it is advertised on here. The guys that sells it is Douglas Gordon on BHW.

UlcercureOTC worked for mine also. He coliced 3 times in 4 months. Since one month of daily dosing per the instructions and a maintenance dose when he is likely to be under stress, he has not coliced since.

I currently have my colt on Ranitidine and have seen a big improvement in him.  Cheaper than all of the others at my vet by a long shot.
