We had fleas in our den one year, sprinkled regular table salt all over the carpet and then vacuumed it up. I read it somewhere. Also, put some in your vacuum bag so when you suck them up, they'll smother. Worked for us. Frontline didn't. There's a pill called comfortis that does, your vet should sell it.

We got something from TSC. it's called the enforcer. They have stuff to sprinkle on the carpet and they have a spray for the animal. Seems to be working. We've never had a flea issue...we just use frontline and they're fine. This year it didn't do anything for them so we've been battling it this year.

Sevin dust works great.  Sprinkle it on.  Let it sit.  Vacuum it up.  And it won't harm animals.  Use it on your dogs too.

Question

If they are in the carpet, couldn't they be in other parts of your house? Beds, clothes, furniture??? Would bombing be more effective? I have no idea so I'm just asking. WE have been fortunate and not had to deal with them inside a house.....yet

I just found a flea on my dog today so I don't think we have a lot just want to cover my bases. I think I will just throw away her pad in the crate and get a new one. It is getting old.

When I worked at tge vet clinic I kept some stuff called Knock Out in stock.  It is great stuff!  You can get it in a fogger or a spray.  Best stuff you can buy!
