Elite Veteran Posts: 1096	I have been debating breeding my mare. She's a cattle bred granddaughter of Zan Parr Bar. Great rate and turn but just doesn't have the length or speed. Would you think a Corona Cartel Stud or a stud such as A Streak of Fling would be a good choice. Meaning would those Studs have enough speed. I'm needing the speed, LOL! Peecans	Theres many studs that compliment cow breeds very nicely. I have two im breeding run next year, possibly three. The one is going to a son of dash ta fame the others im very hopeful (if he winters good) are going to a son of first down dash. I have a couple corona cartell sons and tress seis sons on my short \ back up list as well.

Expert Posts: 1718 Location: Southeast Louisiana	The one I want to breed my cow bred mare to is a son of Firewater Flit, the bottom has Rare Bar / Beduino / Top Deck. His turning style is similar to my mare's and I definitely want to duplicate that!

He is by DTF, out of a PRODUCING NFR mare Go Royal Scarlett who I might add produced the horse that won the Semi-Finals at Mesquite and did I mention he is a solid 1D horse himself!!!!! Veteran Posts: 253 Location: SoCal	I personally like A Streak of Fling. I find most of them with a long stride and speed, and their turning styles remind me of my cowbred mare's. In a few years, I plan to breed her to preferably a son of ASOF because I can't afford him himself. She's got the smallest stride, but is really quick and light footed, so I'd be looking for a stud that produces a long stride to balance her short one. There are tons of great studs that can add speed, but the dispositions and running styles tend to vary. Just depends on what you prefer.
