So after a month of off & on soreness, an expensive vet visit to find out she is navicular and some treatment my horse was sound with a long stride this evening! Go us! For the first time in years I saw her buck and kick and run and play. She is so happy! I'm so happy! Lol. Now she'll probably be sore when I go see her this morning but at least I know we are headed in the right direction. She has been on low dose of previcox since Friday (8/8) and we also injected the coffin on the right front (the bad foot). I hope we are not done improving. I bet her stride improved a whole 4-6" I would like to see another 2-4" but I'll just hush and be happy lol.

Oh and better news? I haven't even got the Nitroxide or PHT/ BOT bells yet. Hopefully they will be more improvement.

Good to hear. I have one in the exact same situation and opted for Tildren. It seems to be working so far to! Polyglycan IV has been a life saver for us!

I am going to ask my vet about Tildren. I really want to try it. The horse is 10 though I don't know if that will have anything to do with it. I have a full unopened bottle of Pentosan Gold. Do you think it might help?

I lunged her this morning to see how she was doing and first 10 mins or so was slightly off every other stride or so bit as time went on for worse. Do you think it has something to do with her getting the previcox in the morning and it being 24 hours since the dose when I work her in the mornings? Am I just expecting to much to soon? Is there anything else I can do? I'm looking into ordering Nitroxide for blood flow, PHT or BOT bells and cavallo hoof boots for riding on anything but soft arena dirt. (I ride in the pasture 99.9% time)

Thank you everyone!

If your horse has bone changes I highly recommend TLC eqibone. I've personally seen the results on three different horses. It works. Basically it gives the body the nutrients needed to heal in large easily absorbed doses. It's easy to feed. They will generally eat the pellets out of your hand.

thank you. I had considered that also. Its pretty pricey though. When I spoke with the rep from Equibone they said I needed to take all other sources of Calcium D3 out of the horses diet though to balance it and that would be remarkably hard because its in the Total Health Enhancement products and I'm sorry but I trust my THE much more than a product I haven't tried.

Do you know if those horses on it were on a mix of feed/ supps that included a Vitamin D source other than the Equibone? I know the Vitamin D3 in the THE is organic. Its the same "kind" of d3 that's in the equibone (meaning both are organic and absorbed the same way).
