Found an awesome deal on a 14" Martin, one of the older models, with supposedly an 8" gullet, $1200 shipped but the girl can't find the serial number. Isn't under the seat jockey or on the fender. Is it common for Martin not to stamp their saddles or is she just not looking hard enough?

Location: Blissfully happy Giants fan!!!		 Yes, I called Martin directly and they didn't start putting serial numbers on until about 5 years ago. I don't think any of the iron horse models have a serial number. You can send pictures to them and they will verify it is one of their models though.

If it doesn't have a serial no, then it doesn't have a 8 inch gullet, it may have more flare in the bars, but will not have a true 8 inch gullet
