Opened 7 bags today and all had mold  some light gray some gobs  so please open your bags in bright sunlight so you can see it  yes they are taking it back   But please check if you are using producers pride rolled oats from tractor supply    No it has nothing to do with rotating inventory it is supplier cleaning out old bins and bagging bad oats

I know our TSC wasn't rotating their stock so I quit buying from them.

Thanks for the heads up!

Quit buying feed at TSC, too, for that reason.

Nutrena is having a huge issue with cattle cake because of the plastic sacks  seems all companies are going to the plastic sacks or coated ones  they hold too much moisture  and don't breathe.  It doesn't matter where you buy any more :(

It seems there are a lot of people that complain about TSC stores and I just want to say I've had great luck buying feed and supplies at my local store.  The sales people are great too.  I'm usually in the store extra long because I visit with the employees and manager.  With oats, I'm lucky in that my brother raises some oats every year for his Clydesdales so I go to his place and load up.

We are having a huge problem with this up here.

The company we used just switched to plastic bags and we have had to return two pallets of rolled oats in the last few weeks. It is ridiculous, I am absolutely over it.

Absolutely.  Finding good feed is hard unless you raise it yourself!

I'm taking back 3 bags of feed today. A friend of mine took a couple bags back last week to a different feed store so I know it's not just my supplier either. This time of year is bad here anyhow from the heat and mold.

I agree ---- sometimes it's hard to see the subtle mold on feed, especially if your feed room is dark. It's easy to feed bad feed if you're not looking really close.
