More ROACH questions
Playing the Waiting Game
Posts: 2304
I've not had them and would perfer NOT to get them... My issue, I have a carpet shampooer, I've loaned out to a couple people. It went straight from person one to person two, without coming into my house. Person two recently moved into an apartment near college and discovered there are roaches in the apartment. I picked up my shampooer. I got it home, while unloading it from the truck, I noticed the bottom was caked on with some nasty stuff. I cleaned it and figured, HMMMM, I bet there could be roach leftover stuff on there.
DO ya'll think that me, taking the whole thing apart and cleaning EVERYTHING, then spraying it with strong bug killer, enough to kill and remove all the roach eggs? Will leaving it outside in the 100 degree heat be enough..
Any other ideas BEFORE I bring it into the house?

The safest bet would be to clean it all off really well and then leave it outside in some sort of covered area for a couple weeks. I think their egg cycle is 10 days. If there are eggs on there, the time would pass, then you could bring it back inside.
