| Looking for opinions on a plan B allergy supplement.
Plan A was/is Tri Hist. We're having trouble getting him to eat it, and it's out of stock on backorder everywhere. I have to check with my vet, but he was low when I bought this one.
I found the #22 supplement through Silver Lining Herbs for a cough, which is what his symptom is - but the description doesn't mention anything specifically about allergies.
Also found Command-Allergy by Brookside through Valley Vet. It has pretty good reviews.
Additionally I see that I can have an Allergy & Cough added to THE Muscle Mass. However he's already on Exceed 6-Way and I love the results, so I'm not sure if he really needs the rest of the stuff in THE Muscle Mass, but perhaps when I'm out of Exceed later this year it's worth looking into changing over for an all in one? |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | I had great luck with using THE Muscle Mass and adding the cough & breather. You can also use PulmonEZ which is the lung supplement they have. I was hooked on THE supplements years ago when several people on here were raving about them. So glad I did. They are very cost effective. I wouldn't sell a product I didn't use and highly believe in myself. Most of my friends, barrel racers and show people, have switched over after seeing how my horses do on it. |

Location: East Tennessee but who knows?! | I've seen very good results with DMG in horses with allergy related heaves. It helps the body utilize oxygen so it helps the immune system but also helps with breathing as well. Springtime Herbs has a very good quality DMG.
There's also a DMG3000 that works well too.
I've used Cough Free on a mare of mine that I don't ride much at all and it works better than the Anihist on her.

| For a cough try MANNA PRO chicken crumbles. I ordered from Jeffers Vet Supply. Get the one that is NOT medicated in the RED bag. All I can find around here is the yellow bag and it is the medicated one. The WRONG one. I usually give this for about 10 days and the cough is gone. Cheap too. |

| Growing up we used apple cider vinegar. I currently use several THE products and they all do their job wonderfully so if they recommend a product I'll bet it will do the trick. |

| I've tried several and none have helped my mare. LungAid, THE, TriHist, Platinum, just to name a few. I'd spend my money on allergy testing and find out exactly he's allergic to and go from there with your vets recommendation. |

Thanks, I think when I'm out of Exceed 6-Way later this fall I'm going to look into a comparable THE supplement with an allergy/cough aid in it and do some cost comparison. I'm all for a one and done solution!
