He is too nice of horse to,let set in pasture, if he cant run barrel anymorse can he do team roping. He is 16.0 hands and weighs 1200lbs and is a worker. Also,he is a great mover as in english. I had him at the vet and he is a little thinner tha i usually keep him and he is 1205lbs. I wieghed him and i was supprised. Last year he was in spape and had more weight on him he must, had been 1300 lb. Cause he was 1205 like he was. Hemsupprised me i though he would had been 1200.00 he is too nice of horse to.let set. He has fibroitic stifles i am sure something can be done for, them.

Never heard of it. Have you googled it? Hocks fusing usually aren't a big deal and SI can usually be dealt with from what I have heard. The stifles are usually the sucky things that can't really be messed with much. I have a nice young mare with a spur in her stifle.

I have had ones with scar tissue which is basically what a fibrotic stifle is.  You need to break down the scar tissue .  What I am doing is painting the area with DMSO.  I feed Structural Detox and Painawayband Neprofin AVF, which is showing to be able to break down scar tissue. If you have access to a laser or Theraplate that would help also.

mix 75% blue lotion with 25% DMSO and (use latex gloves) rub vigorously across the stifle cords...there are 3 that run down from the stifle joint.  do this 3 days on and 3 days off...this will tighten up the cords.  check how he is shod in the back...if he is low in the heels, raise him up to give the stifles more support.

Yes he does have some scar tissue, but i think it more of a si issue. He is not, getting in the ground and like his front feet are stiding out but not in the back.

That could still be stifle.  A lot of times if you will inject the stifle and SI at same time it works better than just doing the stifle.  Have you checked for soreness on the SI?

I just had the vet do this. This started last year and this isma result of fusing hocks and i carried to several lamness vets they could not find anything but he was using his rear. We fused his hocks. The vet assumes from flection test that was all that was wrong but my mare kicked and he had an absess in left rear. Well getting back in shape carried him to a show he would not get in the ground. Carried back to vet si and stifles. This horse never has problems with rear always been and ass dragger and a beautiful mover. Has anyone has this experience with this. I was going to give him some estrone see if it will help.
