Who here uses ground poles in their training and what do you think it does for the horse?

We use them and I have my opinion on what it does for the horses but would like others opinions on the subject.

They teach them where their feet are, can adjust stride length, get them looking down, use their backs, and exercises the foot-lifting muscles. I do straight lines and circles with them for different things. I've also used them on my barrel pattern to help along foot placement.

I like how you can see it "click" in their mind that they can extend or shorten their stride at any given moment.
