Expert Posts: 2685	I'm not sure how many ran there that are on here but I would reall like to try it! I hvent been in the game since I was a young kid so I didn't know anyone. I felt like a loner but my mom was there so we stayed in the trailer and had a good time over all. Friday I was very suspicious of my horse and didn't really trust her but she went in and INHALED the first barrel and for an unknown reason (99.9% probably my riding) ducked the 2nd. I just circled her around and went around the barrel and kept going and she INHALED the 3rd. It was like I cued her to turn or she didn't see it. I was told 2nd barrel problems are common that pen. Anywho, Saturday my horse went in running like a banchee and we ran all over the pen receiving an embarrassing time. I was very frustrated. I'm thinking if I would have rated her on the 1st it would have solved the rest. Oh! And my belt got caught on my horn and when I went back down the alley she put on the brakes sooner than I thought and I ended up sitting on her neck. Sunday we went in and inhaled 1 but for some reason I looked down at her and accidentally held her face too long so she paused a little, I scooted her over for 2 then told her oh no jk too far so we stuttered there too being my fault but she turned best she could and she inhaled the 3rd. We got a 5D time. She was TIRED come day 3 and really, so was I. She isn't high strung at all. She doesn't have the endless supply of "amped up barrel horse" lol. Oh well, we got to know each other more and I had a blast. How did y'all do??

I thought Chuck and crew did an excellent job trying to accomadate everyone and their needs and saftey in kinda a cluster of a warm up area and stuff when the monsoon decided to come on sat! lol........I know my mom and I had a blast as well!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love getting those wkend momma trips! they are the best! sounds like you had an eventfull wkend! I had wonderful time w/my mom and seeing friends. had an ok run on friday, a great run on sat, but not so great run sun and ended up at the vet sun afternoon....spent all the money i won and off for a month, but still super proud of my horse and still so blessed to get to do what we do! the next one at Graham is always an excellent place. the facility there is amazing!
