Looking at ordering one-- how would you say the seat size runs? I've been told they run small and I've also been told they run true to size. I usually ride in a 14.5 inch seat. What thickness pad do you use with these? I have a 5 Star 7/8 pad and am wondering if it will be too thick? Also how well do these saddles hold up? Are you happy with yours? Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!!

I usually ride in a 14.5" and I have a 15.5" in the Jackie and everyone I know that has one rides in a size bigger.

I ride in a 14.5 but that size in Jackie was too small. I used a 7/8 inch five star pad and saddle rolled. A half inch will work better. I tried 3 different Jackie treeless saddles and couldn't keep any of them from rolling. I'm riding a Marlene McRae, Circle Y, Flex tree and had it roll one time when I rode it with the 7/8" pad. A half inch works great with it and I don't have to cut my mare in half cinching her up. With the Jackie's I would tighten the girth at least twice and still couldn't keep it on her.

I used a CSI Pad and also tried a tacky pad with a single navajo but I haven't run barrels in it so I don't know if I am going to get any roll.

a tacky liner and a sinlge thickness blanget works and so does my 3/4 relentless felt pad......I normally ride a 14 1/2 in a treed saddle and a 15 1/2 Jackie is a perfect fit

Snazzy is who educated me on these saddles and is why I bought one.

Using a Reinsman Tacky Too pad
(I prefer the one with the special padding for a wide shouldered horse
) and a pro choice smx cinch.........have not had any problems with saddle roll. The saddle does fit the horse a lot better after about 20 rides. Got my saddle and info from Felicia Carlton.......it was really helpful to know ahead of time....

Same here - ride in a 14.5" treed, bought a 15.5" Jackie. Thin pads recommended. I use a Saddleright on one horse and a 1/2" wool on the other.

I ride in a 14" treed saddle and mine is a 14.5 and its snug against my legs so I would definitely say go with the whole inch bigger. I ride mine with my professionals choice pad and it doesn't slip but it will if I use just a fleece bottomed wood pad. I would say the 1/2" solid wool/felt pad would work fine.
