AC-one worked for our mare, she didn't sweat 100% as other horses did, I'd say about 75%.  We continued to compete on her, made sure she was always in the shade with a fan.  At home always stalled during the heat under fans and out at night.

I have had great success with Platinum Refresh. I have tried ONE AC, beer, you name it and the Platinum works best for me. One thing that I will add is that I have had much greater success if I start my horse on the Platinum in late March or early April. I give it though the summer and usually through the end of October because it is usually still hot in N E TX.

Dark Beer---the darker the better. A bottle a feeding to start and then some you can cut back to one bottle per day.

I had one that would wake up and get excited as soon as the bottle top opened. LOL

I also have had really good results with platinum refresh! I made the mistake of trying something cheaper this year and messed up, my horse didn't sweat hardly at all this summer even though I started him on platinum in July. If I start him on platinum in March he sweats all summer!

we have a mare we tried all the above with. also she was in a UF study that used china herbs and acuputure. no sweat.

we are using a small human pill that is made for athletes. she is sweating, all over and running well. there have been studies done with this product. if you have a interest, pm me and i will send the ladies name and cell whom i get the product from. there is NOTHING in this for me. its a good product that works well for our barn.

How long did it take for this pill to start working?

I've tried everything for mine, took him off of all crazy supplements, super basic healthy diet (whole oats with vitamins oil and lots of salt). Alfalfa daily. Keep him inside under fan during day, pick barrel races wisely (no mid day races in middle of summer). Keep them in extra extra good shape, lots of long trotting and breezing to keep lungs strong. Dark beer does help a little. I've found no supplements help except keeping mineral balances normal, feeding healthy diet with less additives.

I have also tried all the things listed (Except the human pill) plus the patch, nothing really worked. I put him on Thyro-L, for a different reason, and he started sweating.
