Expert Posts: 1440 Location: Texas	When I had mine injected vet told me 3 to 4 days off then go back to it. Ride or compete as I want as long as horse seems ok.

Elite Veteran Posts: 1035 Location: TN	When I had my horse's hocks injected my vet said to give him a week (or at least 5 days) off and then I could go back to riding and competing.

Veteran Posts: 178	My mare had her SI injected, vet said a few days off, then walking/light riding a few days, then I did about a week and a half of jogging straighter lines (around my fields), then returned her to work and she was fine. It took me just over two and a half weeks total. He said it's a bigger joint, so takes a bit longer for it to take effect. Also that the first day or two they are fine, but on days 3 and 4 may be a little sore. But then it would kick in and she'd be good as new....and she was!

Expert Posts: 1561	Thanks for the replies. Our vet said 1 day stall rest then keep him stalled but light straight riding for a couple days then pick it up from there and that seems inline with what everyone else is saying.
