Got some Berne jeans from our local Co-op and I love them. Heavy denim, room in the legs to get your on your horse and ride and they're not too low in the back.

You might try Southern Thread Jeans owned by the same company that owns Rocky Mountain Clothing Co.

They come in slim or relaxed fit. They are a heavier denim that the trendy jeans and will hold up with ranch work. I was old school wrangler kinda gal until I've "bloomed" in my thirties. I wear these now and they are lower rise than the old wranglers but are higher than the trendy jeans and they don't have that damn spandex. You can also get them in 38 lengths and on eBay they are $40 free shipping
