As many know, we are really into our dogs (Retrievers) and have got one qualified for the Master Nationals next month in Corning California.
We will be staying in Red Bluff, CA.
I am IN NEED of pastures and places with ponds to work dogs before Master nationals start (this is the NFR for dogs in our sport)
Approx October 5th- 15th
My trainer and I will have a few dogs with us. basically we will be doing small set ups that resemble a duck hunt (but we wont be shooting wild ducks) We dont need water in every spot we work as we do lots of land retrieves. There will be "cracker shot" and "Blanks" fired (both sound like real gunfire) so be aware if this would bother your horses.
We are typically only in a spot for a few hours and are respectful of livestock, horses and owners.
If anyone could offer land in the Red Bluff area or Corning Area to work, I would be grateful.
We typically like unmowed areas so the dogs can get used to the local weeds and grasses.
ponds with odd ball islands, weird shorelines and marshy spots are great... simple round ponds are less helpful

Location: 31 lengths farms | OMG, sorry I never got back to you!!! I had a place in mind, the people had moved to Nevada and at first thought about keeping their place here in CA but ending up getting a good offer and sold it. Hopefully someone can help you out...and find a place with water to boot, it isn't very plentiful around here right now. |

Location: California | Giving you a bump because that's all I can do. Finding water this time of the year will be tough. I'm about two hours southwest of Corning and we are bone dry. |
