Location: Somewhere around here | I know there's no good cheap saddle but I was kind of in the market for buying another saddle. I bought one last Christmas from Triple Creek and I really like it but I'd just like to know if there are any options that are good and in the same price range? |

| As far as cheap goes, I'd look into a used saddle. Cheaper and broke in! |

| If you look a little you can sometimes find an older shiloh/ed wright saddle for cheap. I like the older ones better anyway, for some reason the newer one I tried set me back on my pockest. |

This!
I recently bought a used Ed Wright for $800. It was a little newer so a little more money, but you can find them for $500 sometimes. They are built very well with good quality leather. I spoke with Ed the other day to see if he had any used ones in. He had one that was quite a bit older for I think $500 or $600. You may give him a call. |

If you are limited on funds, save your money, set it aside, be patient, and keep an eye out for a good used one. The best quality saddles are still just as good used as they are brand new. If not better. Some of the brand new prices I believe are way too high, but the same saddles at used prices are more reasonable. |

The older circle Y's are usually decent as well. I'm not a huge fan of their newer saddles in terms of quality. |

Location: Somewhere around here | Thank you! I definitely would prefer to buy a used saddle since they are already broken in and the squeaky sound would most likely be out of it lol but I wouldn't be buying one anytime soon actually, more like next year if my husband will let me. I don't know too many people in my area though so my main sources would be craigslist and facebook.....which scare the crud out of me haha. |

| From my own experience, I can say that I have LOVED my triple creek.
I have also been using Billy Cooks from both Sulphur Springs & Circle Y. (Both well made IMO). |

Location: Peach State | A lot of people around here use proriders, they're affordable and truely do fit a lot of horses. I've won a few proriders that I rode in for many years. |

| I have 3 RS (Ryon Simon, from MN) saddles. I bought my first one when I was in college, 11 years ago this December. I bought brand new from a guy that ran a sale barn. I think I paid $450 or 475 for it. Its still my favorite saddle to ride in. It fits my POA mare that had never had a saddle fit her. 3 years ago I paid $450 shipped for my Roping saddle. It was used, but just to show western pleasure. It is now my ranch saddle, has been picked up in and roped in. I then bought an older barrel saddle for $200 just cause it was cheap and I could have an extra! If you google RS saddlery it will take you to their page. |
