Ok guys has anybody seen this before? Just started riding my mare again and yesterday I noticed she's keeping her back left foot cocked most of the time. Walked her on flat concrete and some steps look normal but some she steps on the toe then when enough weight is applied her ankle seems to snap down in place. No noise but very visible. No swelling or heat. I lunged her and she lopes normally.
I'm out of town so I'll have to find a vet if need be but wanted to see if any of you know what this is or what I should do...

If nobody has any ideas, can someone recommend the best lameness vet in eastern OK? I'm willing to drive further if necessary. Thanks!

Nope, no idea.  My 24yo pops like that too and has for as long as I can remember.  No lameness or issues with though.

It's in that part of her ankle but she doesn't looked deformed or like anything is out of place standing still. Even when it pops down into place it doesn't go further than it should looks just like the other one...just that she steps on her toe then it snaps down all at once instead of being a smooth motion. She doesn't seem to want to put weight on that foot either.

My HS rodeo mare back in the day had the same issue. She was off the track, but she had done it for as long as I could remember. Sound seemed to more frequent in DEEP arena's. Almost sounded like a water balloon. I had her at the vet several times with no answers as to why she made that sound. So I put her on NEXT LEVEL and the sound faded out. It never left completely.
