Okay I'm going to try to keep this short but give as many details as possible. I have a 5 yr old gelding just started last year on pattern coming along super nice and fast. In august I took him to a friends while watching her horses. Someone came to the house while I was at work and left the barn gate open. I get there after work the neighbor comes and tells me hey they gate was open those 2 horses got into the barn and where fighting thru the panels with the yellow horse
( My horse
) I said ok thanks. My horses has no marks get him out of stall can't walk. Take him to vet few days later x-rays don't show much so we inject his fetlock joint stall rest only. Took him back to vet yesterday he can now trot, lope straight no limping, lunge a circle limping, block ankle and tendons no change. Nothing on ultrasound either, said I need a MRI but unfortunately I can not afford to do it. What the heck could there be not showing on x-ray or ultrasound? What would you do?

Could be a bone bruise, I hear these won't show immediately, could also be blood in the joint, as I hear these are difficult to diagnose too
Edited to add some fractures won't show till 14 days after
