 Prayers for this young woman. So very heartbreaking.  More than once I have seen horses (usually shorter ones) go under the butt bar to get out of a trailer. I have no idea how this happened. Horses can do amazing things when frightened.

so heartbreaking...but if she had the butt bar in place the horse probably would have stay.  I know so many girls that won't use a butt bar because it's such a pain or they are in a hurry, but there is a reason for it and it does work.  prayer for her lost
 

I ALWAYS use mine, whether I have one horse or three, and whether there is a horse in the last spot or not. You never know what could happen, so it's better to be safe than sorry.

I have a 2 horse slant that does not have a butt bar and worry all the time.  So sorry for this woman's loss.
