I'm pretty set on ordering the CE biofit saddle pad (30"x 30") after reading all the good reviews. But I've always rode in an impact gel. They've been alright, nothing super great, but I've never had anything else to compare. statelinetack is having a 20% off everything so I'm going to order but have some last minute questions. :)

How long has yours lasted? saw a couple complaints saying they were falling apart

I've heard the extra padding is too close to the front?

It doesn't say how thick? I'm guessing 1" or 7/8

Is the felt going to be comfortable enough for my horse? no wool, no gel, no fleece bottom, just felt. Is that right? never saw exactly what it was made of. I looked at the fleece bottoms which seem like they wouldn't hold up as well but would be extra comfy for the horse.

Is the padding going to create too much pressure on the shoulders? My saddle fits alright but I need a little lift on the sides of his withers. He has a small atrophy behind the shoulders but not too bad, there is a bit too much pressure, explains why I'm purchasing this.

..oh and should I wait until black Friday/cyber Monday? 20% seems pretty good to me but there might even be something better later on...

any other input would be much appreciated!!

Don't get the 30x30

They are shorter then other 30x30 pads. 2013 wide gullet crown c saddles the skirting is longer then the pad, roping saddles same problem. Even on my non crown c saddles, Sloan, Lockhart, billy cook, I have little wiggle room.

Don't get 30x30. Way too short. Wish I would have gone bigger. Other than that like the pad for the money!

The 30x30 is too small for my martin. It fit my Billy Cook and Circle Y JBN fine.
I sold it and bought the fleece bottom one when I got my Martin, which I haven't really used much, however I used the felt bottom one quite a bit and it held up well. The extra padding didn't collapse. I think I used it about 4-5 months or more, and it still looked pretty new.

My horse does prefer the softness of the fleece bottom.
