They aren't horrible...I mean you can set shampoos and stuff on it..but it does take up a lot of room. I Prefer the separate toilet and shower... but, then again, if I saw a nice trailer in my budget that had a combo, I'd consider it. Not sure if this gave you any help at all...:/

I have only used one once, and after that I swore, if I can ever afford my own, it will NOT have the combo.  Hated it!

didn't like the combo either.... I owned a new Exiss with a 5'sw with a full bath, mine it was a small bath, but had a shower w/door on one side and the toilet the other side with sink and med cabinet and a small linen area under.  I know Exiss aren't the best, but at the time it was the only thing I could afford.  I kept the trailer for almost 2 years then sold it for almost what I paid.  I had no problems with it-thank goodness.

Traveled with a guy in college who had one. HATED it. One of two things happens: the shower floor gets disgusting from people using the toilet without taking their boots off, or you get wet socks from taking your boots off to use the toilet. Plus the whole idea of it is just icky to me!

yea i was thinking it would be a pain...

But i'm looking at these trailers and everything is pefect until i get down to the damn toliet!!  i wish it faces outward so your feet could be on the regular floor and now the shower base!  dont know why all the toliets face either the drain or the shower head...  But it is such a bummer!!  i was hoping i'd hear that it wasn't a big deal

I've never had a LQ … but the idea grosses me out … IF someone were to give me a LQ with a shower/toilet combo, I'd deal with it, but if I had to pay out $$, I would pass on it … unless, it were a smoking deal and I could trade it in on something else ….

I have one. It's OK, but after you shower, the toilet and the floor are WET. You pretty much have to dry everything off with a towel after your shower. Otherwise, wet feet, wet clothes, etc.

I have one in my trailer, I never looked at it as being nasty, icky or gross, I just use it.  I have a 6 foot short wall in mine.  It is crowded but when I use the shower I am not in it like I am in my home shower.  I knock of the high spots and call it good. I step in it with my boots on to use the toilet, I just rinse it when I turn the shower on.   It does save room, with it mine has a couch that folds out into a bed, wouldn't have room for it with out them being together and still have the same size trailer to pull.

Calculate how much time you think you will spend either on the shower, or on the toilet in the next year, while rodeoing. To seperate the two, is about $5000. Then figure what each minute of luxury will cost you. You might reconsider.

The trailer I have now has the combo & it's fine.  I had to wipe the shower down in my previous trailer too or it would get spotty/not dry as well so this is no different.  And as someone else pointed out, it's not like you are taking long showers in the horse trailer anyway!   Besides, I figure it will work perfect as my handicap shower in the future, LOL!!

Sounds like a mans dream, If only it shaved by face while I was there.  The three daily "S's"  would be taken care of.

My trailer has a shower/ toilet combo and it has never bothered me.  I had the living quarters put in it and it's only a 4 foot shortwall so it was the only option I had.  Sure beats going to a public toilet any day. Like someone else said the only drawback is the toilet lid getting wet when you shower, but I love being clean so it's not a big deal. Just having the living quarters is a dream come true for me.
