I've only ridden in treed saddles, and I understand that in a treeless you basically go up a seat size because they are treeless
(so if riding in a 14" regularly, you go up to a 15"
). My question is on flex-tree saddles, do you stay typically with the same size as a treed saddle or does it go the way of the treeless or something in between? I understand trying different ones to find out, but was wondering if there was a general rule of thumb about this. Thanks!

I ride in a Deb Sibley Flex Tree and I would say they run pretty true to size. You lose a little seat area moving from a 4" to 5" cantle.

I ride a 14" flex tree ... I haven't changed seat size on barrel saddles between trees and I have found them true to size.
Hope that helps!

If you get a Circle Y Tammy or Jackie saddle, you need to go up a size and they only come in half sizes. I ride in a 14.5" treed saddle and went with a 15.5" Jackie Jatzula saddle.

My Marlene Mcrae fit the same as any non-flex tree saddle.
