Location: Peach State | One of my horses has extremly high withers and all my pads (classic equine, bestever, todd Sloan) all pull down very tight over the bone at the top of his withers. I ride in a circle y treeless so I can't really "tent" the pad up. Anyone else had this same problem/ pad suggestions.
I'm leaning towards saddleright since the pads are cut back in that area |

| I have a friend who sales saddles - a lot of flex saddles she loves them but regular saddles too but the one thing she really feels very strongly about is to use a cutter pad - never ever any wither cut out pads and she showed me to make a believer out of me they tend to have a spot that when you slide your finger down in you can feel a pretty hard pinch- I have always used 5 star and I do like them if you can tent them well - but I got a cutter pad and I really can tell my boy really likes it- if you are interested I would order through " new to you" she is on fb she carrier's shorter cutter pads for barrel horses - because most cutter pads are really long |

| Csi are built contoured so they don't push on the wither.
Wades are also contoured to offer wither relief
I like the csi best, but there are two options to investigate
Otherwise I would say saddleright.
I know people say wades are so expensive, but if you get a plain one, mine was a 3000 wool felt with leather wears, I paid 216 brand new.
Csi are pricey but defiantly worth the money IMO |

| I also love my CSI - my gelding has a very big wither and since switching, he seems much happier. |

Location: Peach State | I have pads that fit his withers fine it's just the bone is very high and because treeless don't bridge overpay pads put a lot of pressure where the two sides connect |

Location: texas | I love the Sensorflex pads.....
For a high wither I would suggest the Sensorflex Contured Wool Top pad with fleece bottom....
It is separated so that u can bridge it and has a channel down the middle....
Unlike the regular Sensorflex pads, this one has separate sides, so that u can bridge it and adjust to fit the horse....
will try to post pictures of the pad.....
I had one but sold to a friend of mine bc it was way too much for my mare, now her gelding needed it w his higher wither...... |
