Location: Missouri | I know several on here have tattoos of brands - either your own brand or to match a horse, etc. A long time ago I saw a post on here with a pic of a really cool one. I'm working on my own and would LOVE to see that pic again. PM me if you would rather. I messaged a couple of BB who commented on an older thread about this, but no idea if that's who had the pic.

Location: Missouri | Cool idea Hoofs. I've gotten to where I really like the all black. I have a large black and grey side piece with roses. If I can figure out the brand that's next. Otherwise, a garter similar to the half finished one I've got going here LOL

| Putting someone else's brand on my body is something I would give careful consideration. |

Location: Missouri | In my case it wouldn't be someone else's brand. I am actually interested in the design around the outside more. |

| I have one but I chose to only do the outline. I was pushed for time when I got it. I'll try to get the picture to upload but I don't know how to resize on my mac.
Here is the story behind my tattoo:
My grandmother was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2011. She is the reasoning for everything I do. She is the person I constantly thank for passing on the passion of horses. Last October she went to John Hopkins for a bone marrow transplant so her body could either accept or reject the treatment. I wanted something to always have her with me so I was in my college chemistry class doodling during a lecture while thinking about her.. Bam.. I drew up the perfect idea. The mountains are made of three "M"s, her initials and also represent the gorgeous state that I am from. They also make up "MVM", my grandfather's (her husbands) initials that helped finance and support our dreams. The sun and mountains make up "CMM", my initials. The quote underneath is in her hand writing that I obtained by telling her I needed her to write it for a college art class one day while she was being visited in the hospital pre-treatment. My nickname growing up from her was always sunshine. Sunshine was also the destined name of my first barrel pony. It means a lot to me. I may be a little obsessed with it but I'm so proud to be able to display it. Needless to say when she saw it after she was allowed to have visitors in her home three months later, she cried, I cried, we were all grateful/ happy messes. This spring we received the best news ever, she is in remission.
