Location: midwest mama | I'm looking at a living quarters trailer for my daughter. Is a 5' short wall too small? Most of the time it would just be her that was in it.......and maybe a friend once in awhile.
The ones I'm looking at do not have a couch or dinette, but several of them do have a separate bathroom.
She's not going to really "go down the road" but just wants a trailer to stay in to go to weekend stuff.
Opinions? |

| I am young, 20, and my short wall is 4ft. I have a tiny kitchenette with a microwave, cabinets, mini fridge and sink in the corner and some storage. That's all I need for a weekend. My plan is to get a port-a-potty and a tank-less water heater ($130) and put them in the from stall of my trailer since I never use it to have a bathroom. We (mom and I) have stayed at a race once in it and it was awesome. I stayed in it over Thanksgiving because we had a TON of family staying over so I slept in my trailer. It was awesome then too :)
ETA I bought my trailer on my own so budget was a HUGE thing. It is very true that a larger short wall will sell better in the future.

Location: where ever my L/Q trl is parked | if it's just for over night it can work, but get one with a separate bath and shower. I agree a 8' will resale better. With a 8' you could have a 6'sofa and it's nicer to sit on if it's raining or cold outside, you won't do that with a 5'. I've been to more than one race where it's started raining and was able to put horse in trailer stall and I got to get L/Q and stay dry. |

Location: Oklahoma | I have a friend with a super nice 8' full living quarter trailer for sale w/lots of options. Then I have another friend with a 6ft w/a weekender that's about half the price of the first one, but it doesn't have a toilet...only a shower and is about half the price of the first one. PM me if you want details. |

| My short all is 22 INCHES, AND it is also my tack area. I have "made do" with it for 21 years and counting. Have had several opportunities to get something bigger, but I LOVE my little trailer. Pulls like a dream.
I can remember back when if you had a cap on the back of your truck pulling a 2 horse bumper pull, you were high rollin'! Cannot believe how easy it is to spoil some people so that they think they "need" more. JMHO

My thoughts exactly! ^^^^
My daughter doesn't want a big train to pull around and she is on a budget. She doesn't go enough right now to justify a big fancy trailer.
She and I had already decided that she needed a 6' or 7' short wall MAX. A 5' is a little smaller than what we were originally looking at, but it might be a good starter trailer.
Just wondered if anyone else on here had a 5' short wall or smaller and how they liked it. |

Location: Central Montana | We've had one for the past 6 years and there were usually three adults spending several Fri./Sat. nights in it over the weekend. It did not have any cooking amentities.....shower, wardrobe/closet, and toilet but it worked out perfectly. We recently sold it. Loved it, it was a 4 horse and not too big to pull around in a big town with heavy traffic but big enought to fit our needs. |

| Mine is a four foot, pretty amazing layout. It has lots of storage, good sized closet, a stovetop, sink, big fridge/freezer, microwave, furnace, fantastic fan and a toilet/shower combo. It even has a little fold down dinette with two fold down stools. Its a 2 horse and I bought it used ten years ago. Pulls like its not there and its so easy to park at crowded events. |

Do you mind posting or sending pics? I am looking to upgrade the inside of mine and yours sounds very useful. |
