Location: South of Canada and North of Mexico | I bought this horse as a 5 year old and its been so long to get to this point. I wanted a horse that was been there done that hop on and go but ended up getting this guy in a horse trade. He hasnt been hardly rode in the last year and a half and this is the first time he was on barrels since May 2013. I've had this horse for sale since then and soon as people find out he's an appaloosa that cribs they no longer are interested. I think we're on the right track, little stuff to work on but heres a video! He's on allbreed as Cash Option if anyone is interested in seeing how he's bred, hes not for sale at this moment though :)

There's a lot of people who will pass up a nice horse based on breeding...Appy, Arabs, anything other than Quarter Horse. But, that's their loss...good luck!! |

Location: Florida | If you get a good app, you got a really good horse (old saying). That said he is doing good except he is slinging his butt on the second half of the turn. you have his head cocked, but the body is not following it. You might try a bit with less turn and more whoa, or he may be a roll back type of horse and is never going to bend the way you want. Try the roll back on him, I think it will work. |

Thanks. Yeah he did a little better on this one, he needs more work for sure on the 2nd barrel, for some reason thats his bad one and like I said he hasnt been rode since May 2013. He's 8.

| I agree with Vicki, a bit with less bend in it and try using your outside leg to keep him from drifting. he took after his daddy on looks. |

| maybe try a mullen mouth... Carolina company makes one with a set back curb that is nice. Also connie combs square exercise might work on him, it'll help him from bowing off and might make it clear for him where to place his feet and hip on the backside, you could probably try that drill and not even change the bit. plus, you did say he is just coming back so... Good job! |
