How many of you actually use a horse specialized insurance agency to ensure your horses? What are the benefits? Any and all info is appreciated. Thanks!

That's interesting. I didn't know that you could do that. What company do you use?

We use Shelter Insurance (same as for my auto and home) and have a policy that covers death due to lightning, falling through ice on the pond, vehicle strike, etc. No medical or natural causes covered. I don't *think* it covers loss of use. It is super reasonable. It's the same policy as I had on the cattle. I did have to file a claim on a cow due to lightning strike. Super quick and easy.
