My gelding bloodlines:) ive had him for only a couple months but he is the sweetest most honest little thing. BUt gosh dang he can turn a barrel..almost throws me out of the saddle! ive been getting low 17's on him and he wont really spread his legs out and realllly run in between the first and second barrel. he is also very rough and works on his front end any tips? ive tried extend trotting him alot both ways and making him spin off his hind quarters and doing rollbacks as well nothing has worked. He has been adjusted my a chiro and his teeth have been done as well!

Do you have a video that may help for pointers?

Did you get any pointers from the previous owner on how to ride him or do you have a trainer locally you can get lessons from?

When you say low 17s what is usually the fastest time? Low 17s really doesn't say much. If your running low 17s on a WPRA standard pattern then you could compete with NFR horses. If the fast time is 13s then that makes a difference.

I'd be having his hocks and stifles looked at - really looked at by a vet, xrays, etc. etc.  Ruling out reasons for his not wanting to extend at a canter and his front endy ways.  At least when you know there isn't any pain associated with his reluctance and way of going, you can move forward onto the next idea.

This. Get any pain ruled out, make sure your equipment fits your horse properly, and take him out and breeze him.

You can't post a video here. You have to post it someplace like Youtube and post the link here.
